Steam Scene is located on McLeans Island Road (off Johns Road) over the stop bank just past Issacs Salmon Farm but before Orana Park.

A Google Earth kmz file is also available for download. It contains the following features:

• Locations of key points of interest with descriptions.
• Location of the Main Gate on McLeans Island Road, this can be used in Google Earth to get directions.
• A virtual tour of the main railway line.
